Thoughts on Machine Learning

ML algorithms and the ML models produced are powerful for your organization, but keep in mind that people are, and will always be the most important commodity.

Don’t reduce management decisions to Taylor Fredrick-esque scientific managements style trying to make it simple with as few movements as possible.

Understand that you can have both an innovative work environment and robust machine learning models working at the behest of your company.

Keep space reserved for people to come together and discuss ideas, and processes which allow these ideas to be heard by the leadership that matters.

This encouragement of the free exchange of ideas, while taking the time to hear these ideas, will help you establish and maintain an innovative work environment.

Socializing is still the most powerful tool for innovation.
